Audi A8 / S8: How To Reset TPMS Tire Pressure Monitor Light (2008-2021)

Audi A8 / S8: How To Reset TPMS Tire Pressure Monitor Light (2008-2021) – Audi A8 / S8: How To Reset TPMS Tire Pressure Monitor Light (2008-2021) – The Audi A8 received a minor facelift once again in 2007. The car will now be equipped with the S8’s steering system as standard equipment, and the air suspension will be upgraded as well. In early 2010, the A8 D3 was replaced by the D4. The Audi A8’s fourth generation was unveiled during the 2018 Frankfurt Motor Show. The two integrated displays are the focal point of the room.

It is necessary to reset the stated pressures anytime you modify tire pressures, change a tire, or have it rotated in order for the TPMS to continue to function properly.

2008-2012 Models

These instructions are for the Audi A8 and S8 models from the second and third generations, respectively. The following is the procedure for resetting the TPMS light:

  • Check to see that you’ve adjusted the tire pressure to the specified level on the tire placard. Make sure that the ignition is turned on without starting the engine. Press theCARbutton in the center console to start the car.
  • SelectSYSTEM
  • SelectTIRE PRESSURE MONITORING
  • SelectSTORE TIRE PRESSURE
  • And then click OK.

2013-2018 Models

The time required is 7 minutes. Just as in previous generations, the TPMS may be reset using the MMI display on this fourth generation vehicle. The following is how to proceed:

  1. Make sure that the ignition switch is in the ON position, but do not start the engine. To start or stop the engine if your vehicle has an ignition button, press the START-STOP ENGINE button once while keeping your foot on the brake pedal. To go to the main menu, press theCARbutton on the MMI controls on the steering wheel. An icon for this button may be seen on the center console. Select SYSTEM from the drop-down menu. To enter this menu, use the left control button on your keyboard. SelectSETTINGSSERVICE To go through the menu, use the MMI control button. Scroll down and select ‘TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING’ from the drop-down menu. There will be a message displayed on the screen. Select STORETIRE PRESSURE from the drop-down menu. After that, a confirmation message will appear on the computer screen. SelectYES in order to perform the TPMS reset. Done

2019-2021 Models

The TPMS may be reset via the infotainment display, much like the previous generation.

However, the touchscreen on this newer model (2019 2020 2021) is more user-friendly. Here’s how you go about it:

  • Check to see that you’ve adjusted the tire pressure to the specified level on the tire placard. Do not start the engine after turning the ignition switch to the ON position
  • Click on theVEHICLEorCARmenu option on the MMI display from the Home screen
  • Then selectSETTINGSSERVICE
  • Then selectTIRE PRESSURE MONITORING
  • Then selectSTORE TIRE PRESSURE
  • And finally selectYES to do the TPMS reset.

These instructions are based on the Audi A8/S8 owner’s handbook, which is available online. This process should be applied to the third and fourth versions of the Audi A8 / S8 vehicles, respectively (2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 model years). It is hoped that the post Audi A8 / S8: How To Reset TPMS Tire Pressure Monitor Light (2008-2021) will help you to resolve your issue. Wishing you the best of luck!

Audi TPMS Reset 2001-2003 S8

Observing the ‘low tire pressure’ warning light and filling the tire(s) to the required pressures should result in the light being turned off. If the light continues to illuminate, follow the steps outlined below. Utilizing the Multi Media Interface, the tire pressure monitoring system may be controlled (MMI). The system keeps track of the tire pressures that have been set by the operator in the vehicle. Prior to beginning, the following procedures must be followed:

Checking and correcting tire pressures:

  • First, make sure that all of the tires on the car are properly inflated (including spare tire) Refer to the prescribed tire pressures on the tank flap data label for more information.

Saving tire pressures:

Immediately after checking the tire pressures and properly filling the tires, the current tire pressures must be recorded in memory. An adaptation operation is carried out by the system on its own initiative.

Proceed as follows:

  • Start the car by turning the key in the ignition. Press the ‘CAR’ function key to start the car. Select systems from the ‘CAR’ drop-down menu. The tire pressure monitoring system should be chosen
  • Select ‘retain tire pressure’ from the drop-down menu.

Tire pressures must be saved each time the tire pressure and/or the tire is changed, otherwise the system will not function properly.

Sorry if this has previously been asked or posted, but I was unable to locate it. Is it feasible to turn off the tire pressure monitoring system on a 2009 Audi A4 Quattro? As a result, I have winter rims and tires that do not have sensors, and I just want to turn off the system completely. I am in possession of a vag-com. In addition, for some reason, the daytime running lights are the high beams when the vehicle is in reverse. (I transported the automobile from the United States to Canada.) Can you tell me how to just turn on the standard lights?

I don’t believe there is a method to turn off the TPMS. I experienced the same issue with my VMRs (which did not have TPMS), and the TPMS error would always come up when it did. My vehicle is a 2010 Audi A4 S-Line quattro from Canada, and it is reported to be equipped with TPMS. I took it to the tire shop so that my winter tires could be placed on my S-Line rims, which were already there. The wheels did not have tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS). TPMS should allow you to swap out rims and tires without having to worry about the TPMS or spending money on sensors if you are using the system that we have here in Canada. 12-23-2009 12:00:10 p.m. Members with more than 12 years of service receive four rings.

Resetting service intervals and oil change warnings (Ln.1, Ln.2, flashing oil light respectively)

It is programmed into the instrument cluster of Audi C4 vehicles (and other Audi vehicles manufactured before to 1998) to notify the driver when it is time to get the vehicle serviced. These appear as warnings in the odometer when you first start the car (In.1 and In.2), or the oil light will blink when you turn on the ignition. The VAG-COM or an equivalent is required to reset these indicators; unlike some later automobiles, a combination of button pushes will not be sufficient to do this task.

  1. Further, In.1 is programmable in terms of both time and distance (whoever arrives first wins).
  2. Finally, but certainly not least, oil service is only available at a distance.
  3. The ‘Stored Value’ is the value that is currently in effect for that channel.
  4. The distance between the current Oil Service and the next Oil Service should be channel 05.
  5. Consider the following scenario: you want the OilService light to illuminate after 5000 miles.
  6. Channel 05 should have the value 8 in it.
  7. (7500 miles).

2014 Audi S8 Pictures, Specifications, and Information

The 2014 Audi S8, like it has always done, seamlessly integrates the large German vehicle luxury of the normal A8 with the ferocious level of performance that Audi continues to demonstrate to the rest of the world that they are capable of offering. It is a super-sedan in every sense of the word, and it makes it all too evident that Audi is doing things correctly. If there is a weak point in the Samsung S8, it is the design. And, considering the way Audis are often styled, this is somewhat to be anticipated.

  • Because even the most powerful Audis are pretty stolid, the S8 is no exception.

The technology also has the potential of lowering the car as the speed of the vehicle increases.

The S8 has a starting price of $112,500.
