Re: GEM module Ford Explorer Sport Trac 2007

Postbyaampford» However, the bank information is unclear in some of the videos I’ve watched on YouTube when people modify the settings on modules. I understand that the GEM is where the TPMS is, but which bank is it? In order to switch off the TPMS setting on our Ford Sport Trac, we must first determine which bank controls the TPMS on the vehicle. Batx00 Posts:1 Joined at 4:12 p.m. on Monday, October 29, 2018. PostbyBatx00» Although I believe they have cracked the mustang code, I’m curious how comparable the GEM on the 2007 sport trac is to the GEM on the 2007+ mustangs. I believe it was posted on this thread; it could be worth a go or at the very least provide you with a starting point. likibow Posts:1 Joined: Tuesday, February 5, 2019, 8:20 p.m. Model of vehicle: 2007 Sport Trac 4.6 3v

Postbylikibow» Hello, I’m new to the forum and would want to extend greetings to everyone! I am having the same issue with my 2007 sport trac v8 4.63v and want to disable the tpms. I saw a video of a guy who disabled the tpms on his 2008 f250 and he shows what you have to change and on the comments a guy said it worked for his expedition but didn’t say what year it was. If you could post links to any sources on the forum, please let me know and I will post italan71’s information. Thanks. Posts:32 Joined at 3:19 p.m.

Re: GEM module Ford Explorer Sport Trac 2007

Postbyalan71» I was able to successfully switch off the TPMS warning light by utilizing the forscan program. It may be found on one of the forums on this site. The instrument cluster is in charge of controlling the light and chime. I continue to receive TPMS problems when I scan the truck, but they are not shown anywhere else. In this case, it has no influence on the Check Engine light. larryjb Posts:20 Joined on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 9:12 p.m. Ford Explorer 4.6L (2008 model year)

Postbylarryjb» Could you please provide a link to the location where the TPMS module may be found? I’ve looked for ‘Explorer’ but haven’t come across anything. Sorry, I meant to inquire as to where you obtained the instructions for disabling the TPMS or information on deciphering the AB data, not where you obtained them. larryjb Posts:20 Joined on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 9:12 p.m. Ford Explorer 4.6L (2008 model year)

Re: GEM module Ford Explorer Sport Trac 2007

Postbylarryjb» I experimented with the setting and discovered that it did indeed turn off the TPMS alert. However, there have been a few more small items that have been impacted. I’m concerned that other, more critical things may be impacted that I’m not aware of at this time. I responded in the thread I mentioned above, and you can read it there.
