r/MechanicAdvice – 2006 Dodge Durango 5.7 Hemi No Crank/No Start

Hello and welcome to everyone. I made a post a while back about my experience upgrading my exhaust manifolds, and I’ve now run into another problem that has me at my wit’s end. After finishing up with the manifolds, I went ahead and started the engine for the first time in around 2.5 weeks after finishing the manifolds. I excitedly turned the key in the ignition, but nothing happened. There wasn’t even a click. The first possible reason is a lack of BATTERY. The battery (which I had purchased a month prior) had been unplugged the entire time, but I believed it was the source of the problem.

It was successful.

I put it in and nothing happened.

I ran a few checks with a multimeter and then bench tested the starter to make sure it was working properly.

This led me to believe that the problem was with the starter, which was incorrect.

This one was put through its paces and passed with flying colors.

Currently, I can hear the starting whirling, but there is no cranking or clicking, and the engine does not turn over.

I checked all of the fuses and relays, and they were all functioning and in good working order.

The multimeter was used to do more testing, which revealed no problems.

The fifth possible reason is: What could it possibly be?

What may be the source of this?
