What does that mean?

This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is a general powertrain code, which means that it applies to any cars that are equipped with the OBD-II diagnostic system. Despite the fact that they are general, the particular repair processes may differ based on the make and model. It will be necessary to remove the valve and thoroughly clean all of the ports. It is typically only possible to check the solenoid using a scan tool since most solenoids function on a duty cycle of voltage rather than a continuous voltage. Examine any vacuum lines, hoses, and other fittings for signs of wear or damage. To check for damage, visually inspect the solenoid harness and the solenoid itself. EGR valve should be replaced.
