FAQ

Q: What is a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and why do you need one? The term “vehicle identification number” (VIN) refers to a unique code that is assigned to each automobile by the manufacturer. Because no two automobiles have the same VIN number, the VIN serves as a kind of fingerprint for the vehicle. A vehicle identification number (VIN) is made up of 17 characters (including numerals and capital letters) that serve as a unique identifier for the vehicle. In this case, each character is utilized to allude to the vehicle’s specific characteristics, specs, and manufacturing company.

  • In our situation, the VIN is utilized to determine which module is appropriate for a specific car model.
  • Control modules that do not require any further programming (also known as PlugPlay or Plug ‘N Drive) fall under this category.
  • Each and every one of our Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth, and Jeep units is sold as a PlugPlay.
  • This word refers to the programming procedure that our mechanics undertake on all of the control modules that have been provided.
  • These upgrades can aid in the improvement of the vehicle’s performance as well as its fuel efficiency.
  • Following the placement of an order, there is a 1-3 day processing wait.
  • For the most part, this takes 1-3 business days on average, with the majority of our modules being delivered to the customer in less than 5 business days.
  • q: Can you tell me where I can get my VIN?
  • Additionally, the title, registration, or insurance card of the vehicle will have this information as well.
