Choice of upfitter switch should be made in accordance with the amount of current drawn by your lighting equipment. To find out how much current is flowing through a device, divide the wattage by the voltage (Amps = watts/volts). As a result of the fact that your electrical system generates more than 12 volts when your engine is operating and discharging the battery, some individuals divide by 12-volts and others divide by 14-volts. To begin, all switches (Fusein under hood fuse/relay panel) have the following fuse configurations from the factory: AUX 1 30A (18), AUX 2 30A (19), AUX 3 15A (44) and AUX 4 10A (24).
The real AUX wires, which are located under the glove box, are sized in accordance with the fuse rating of the vehicle.
