As a result of my search, I was unable to locate anything particular. This 2016 Canyon 4×4 with the 3.6L engine has around 94K miles on it. I’ve been getting engine codes PO171 and PO174 for the previous two weeks, which is unusual. They return a day or two after I’ve removed them out of my house. I’ve noticed that it appears to happen when I’m stopped at a traffic signal. She starts out with a harsh idle, almost as if she’s ready to shut down, but then she settles down to a regular idle and the check engine light illuminates.

According to the internet, these codes are caused by a ‘lean mixing’ problem that might be caused by a variety of factors.

Whether this is connected or perhaps coincidental, I am unsure of.

As the gasoline level in the gas tank plummeted, it sounded as if a vacuum had been formed.

Although I am able to restart it after the filling up process, it will take a bit longer.

Was this a problem for anybody else?

Since it’s becoming chilly in North Carolina, I’d also like the remote start to operate again.

I’m intending to do a complete overhaul of the rear brakes, but I need to know how much torque to apply on the lug nuts. I finished the front and torqued the rear to 100lb for the time being.

To be honest, I’ve never seen one truly twist; instead, the nut simply stops rotating.

jontoadDodge DakotaJOIN HERE3/04/2002 12:29:30 RE: Torque specs (lug nuts)?IP:LoggedMessage:i have worked at discout tire for 2 and a half years and we get torque spec charts streight from the auto companies. the chart we got from dc states 110-115lbs. of torque on a dodge dakota. thats all types of daks cause they use the same studs.-2000 black dak R/T cc w/dual 11 inch silver stripes and chacers, lakewood traction bars, jet chip stage II (paper weight with ok shift points), jeds/bills old k$n, jeds/bills ported and polished TB, black outs, and my favorite mod a sticker that says rice/terminator on my back window.(jon H.)

We torque the wheels at 70 ft. lbs. This is with 5/8-18 studs, but, the wheels are retorqued every morning and whenever a tire is changed. For my personal ’98 Dak, I torque the wheels at 100 ft. lbs., which is right in the middle of the range recommended in the owners manual.

WHEEL LUG NUT TORQUE

Torque specifications for lug nuts. The result of a major lapse of judgment On my 1994 Ram 2500 are 16′ aluminum rims that are wrapped in Michelin 305/70R16 tires. I’m intending to do a complete overhaul of the rear brakes, but I need to know how much torque to apply to the lug nuts now. In the front, I used 100lb torque for the time being.

  • 8 stud dual wheels with 130-160 ft-lbs(176-217 NM) of torque So what’s the deal with the 30 ft pounds variations?

I torque mine to 100 ftlb and call it good; it’s also a good idea to clean the area where the wheels sit and torque equally, as this will result in less warped rotars, as we’ve discovered that uneven torque will pull the rotars and warp them if they become hot enough to glow red.

RAM Wheel Torque Safety Recall

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) in the United States has issued a safety recall for the cars listed below: 2012 – 2021 (in years) (D2) Pickup truck RAM 3500 RAM 3500 Cab (DD) from 2012 to 2021 Chassis RAM 4500/5500 Cab (DP) from 2012 to 2021 Chassis The recall affects cars equipped with flanged lug nuts that may have been overtorqued during service as a result of an erroneous torque specification being used during installation.

A yielded wheel stud may ultimately break, resulting in a wheel coming loose from the vehicle while it is in motion.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will undertake a voluntary safety recall to verify the wheel studs and update the torque parameters in the owner’s manual and published service manuals.

It is anticipated that this recall will begin in the third quarter of 2021.
