I believe I may be experiencing an injector problem. GDI engines are not as straightforward as port fuel injection engines, and I understand that, but I believed there’d be something out there. It’s a no-go. I’m fairly sure I’ve read every single topic on this site concerning cold start/injector difficulties, so please excuse me if I repeat something that has already been mentioned.

This week has seen two shaky starts, with one stalling immediately after starting, and the situation is becoming progressively worse, as shown in the graph.

I happened to be borrowing a tech equipment and ran a diagnostics check on the cylinders, which revealed that cylinder 3 had 699 misfires, with the next highest number being 19 (cylinder 2).

I also looked at the ECM’s code history, which revealed P0106 (map sensor pressure fault), P0300 (many misfires), and P050D (multiple misfires) (cold start rough idle).

I have never observed my coolant level dropping, and I change my oil on a regular basis, most recently last weekend, but my coolant has never seemed milky or smelled like coolant.

All that is left, after ruling out everything else, is a set of defective seals on injector 3 that is letting leak back at the first engine start, which is responsible for the misfires on cylinder 3.

There is simply a difficult cold start that occurs sporadically (and is becoming more common), but there are no other concerns.

2007 Silverado 1500 No start/no crank, relay is good, starter is good, battery is good

The other day I went out to determine why I was not receiving electricity for the right trailer turn signal at the receptacle on the bumper, as I had done in the past. This was intended to be a simple job, but I made a few mistakes and could have sworn I checked all of the fuses, but in the end, it was only a blown fuse that was the problem.

After reconnecting everything, I attempted to start the truck and discovered that all of the interior lights/functions, such as the radio, air conditioning, and so on, were activated, but that when you turned the key further to crank it, nothing happened; keep in mind that the truck had been running fine the day before.

Hello, this is my first time posting here. I have a 2003 2500HD crew cab 4×4 extended bed that I tried to start a couple of weeks ago after it had been sitting for a week. The truck cranked well, but wouldn’t start. When I released the key, there was no crank. I saw that the fuel gauge and, I believe, the volt gauge were not functioning properly. I tried leaping and it did the same thing. Disconnected the battery cables, cleaned them, and reassembled them. Turned the key in the ignition, the gas gauge read correctly, and the car started right up.

  • When I tried it a second time, it would not crank over.
  • When I got into the car, the gas gauge functioned and it started straight away.
  • Allowing it to sit overnight had the same results: the gas gauge would not function, and the engine would not start.
  • Thinking it was a fuel pump/sender issue, I removed the pump relay and tested the fuel pressure, which was approximately 60 psi.
  • The connections on the PCM were similarly clean and bright when they were pulled.
  • This morning I tried it again, and it wouldn’t start since there was no gas gauge.

I have a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 4×4 pickup truck. When I switch off the ignition, the engine will not start for up to 10 minutes, which happens occasionally.
