Where is the fuse box in a 96 Honda Accord?
The under hood fuse box is located to the rear of the engine compartment on the passenger side near the firewall. The relay box is located slight forward of the under hood fuse box.
How many fuse boxes are in a Honda Accord?
Fuse box location The vehicle’s fuses are contained in three fuse boxes.
Where is the turn signal relay located on a 96 Honda Accord?
Reach to the top-right corner of the fuse panel to locate the turn signal relay. The turn signal relay is a square-shaped relay. Push the tabs out on each side of the relay to release it, then pull the relay straight back to remove it from the panel.
Where are the fuses in a Honda Accord?
The interior fuse box is on the driver’s lower left side. The secondary under-hood fuse box is next to the battery. To open it, push the tabs as shown.
What does mg clutch stand for?
The MG clutch is the magnetic clutch on the AC compressor. There is nothing wrong with the AC. The relay failed in the closed position and it keeps feeding the AC compressor clutch. You need to replace that relay.
What does HAC fuse mean?
HAC is the accessories division of Honda. Honda Accessories Corporation, I think. The fuse is probably for the trailer hitch wiring harness, as I think it is the only electrical accessory.
What is ACM fuse for?
The ACM can be identified by looking for part number 2015640-xxx. There are two primary protection circuits designed into the ACM. One is a thermal fuse which detects a heater runaway condition and shuts down the power to the heater to protect hardware on the BTU-8000/8100.
What is turn signal relay?
The turn signal relay or the hazard lights found in all vehicles are controlled by a flasher. This flasher is commonly referred to as the relay. The flasher is just an electrical component that operates as a switch to enable the lights to flash on and off.
What does DRL fuse mean?
Locate the ‘DRL’ or ‘ Daytime Running Lamp ‘ fuse.
What does a fuse look like when it is blown?
Look at the fuse wire. If there is a visible gap in the wire or a dark or metallic smear inside the glass then the fuse is blown and needs to be replaced. A reading of OL (Over Limit) definitely means a blown fuse. If the fuse is blown, replace the fuse with one that is exactly the same (see panel).
What is the ACG fuse?
The important ACG (S) fuse (#24) protects the ignition switch circuit that supplies battery power to the main relay, which in turn supplies battery power to the fuel pump. You probably only need to worry if the fuse blows every time you insert a new one.

Fuse Box Diagrams
Finding the fuse box diagram for your vehicle’s year, make, and model will be the initial step in this process. These can be found in your owner’s handbook or on the internet. If you have lost or misplaced your owner’s manual, you may also obtain a copy from Honda’s website after completing the registration process. Alternatively, the owner’s manuals have been made available on ManualOwl.com for download. The diagram will list each fuse and what it performs, which will assist you in identifying the source of the problem.
The majority of large box retailers and automobile repair shops sell fuse packs that have many different sizes and shapes for a few bucks.
Testing Fuses
Once you have identified the fuse that may be defective, remove it and thoroughly check the center of it. In most cases, if the metal piece connecting the two ends is damaged or visibly scorched, the fuse is likely defective. If it passes the visual inspection, proceed to testing the fuse using a multimeter or a test light to ensure it is in good working order. To begin, configure the meter to measure direct current voltage. While keeping the fuse in its place in the fuse box, put the positive (red) meter probe into the test tab on the left side of the box.
Finally, test the right side of the test tab in the same way as you did the left side.
If the voltage difference between the two sides is not the same, the fuse has blown and must be replaced.
It is possible that the fuse is not receiving electricity from the battery if you do not receive about 12.5 volts on either of the test tabs. It will be necessary to do more testing to establish why the fuse is not receiving electricity from the battery.
