As a result, these cars do not comply with the criteria of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 212, “Windshield Mounting,” which governs the installation of windshields. A recall has been issued for certain 2018 Dodge Charger, Durango, and Challenger cars as well as Jeep Grand Cherokee and Wrangler vehicles as well as Chrysler 300 and RAM 1500 vehicles. It is possible that an erroneous transmission park lock rod was placed in the transmission system. As a result, if the improper park lock rod is inserted, the transmission may not be capable of shifting into “PARK” and preventing the car from moving, increasing the danger of unplanned vehicle movement and the likelihood of a collision with another vehicle.
