The self-balancing circuit in the rear fuse box behind the back seats had shorted out, resulting in my headlights remaining on and draining the battery’s power.

The daytime running lights (DRLs) are essentially the high beams running at half power.
If your primary headlights are turning on but not your daytime running lights, you most likely have a faulty ambient light sensor.
When they become faulty, the headlights illuminate whenever the engine is turned on.
It seems as though it were a 194 bulb.
This is quite inconvenient for me, and I would like them to be off throughout the day.
In return for the added safety, the DRLs consume extremely little electricity.

Isn’t it true that certain insurance companies provide a little discount for having DRL?
Vehicles fitted with Daytime Running Lights as standard equipment may qualify for a 3 percent discount on some auto insurance coverages, according to the GEICO website.
If it is not the DRL, it is possible that the problem is with the wipers, if you have the automatic rain sense wipers, or whatever the name is for them.
My LeSabre from 2000 was experiencing the same issue as you.
I replaced the 10AMP fuse that had been missing, and now everything is working properly.
I’m going to presume that CD is an abbreviation for “Cluster Display.” Because of this, my lights only come on at night, and I either turn them on at the switch or activate the wipers.

As little Joe pointed out, this might be due to a blown fuse or a malfunctioning/obstructed daylight sensor, among other things. Check your dashboard for anything that could be obstructing the sensor. Additionally, check the fuses

After ripping out what little hair I had left, I discovered that the Lighting Control Module is located on the left side of the vehicle, beneath the dash, and behind the swing-down fuse panel.
There are a pair of relays housed within this module, and they are directly responsible for giving electricity to the headlights and auxillary lights, respectively, within the vehicle.
While de-energized, the headlight relay contacts were pitted to the point that they would stay together like a velcro connection, despite the fact that the relay itself was not.
Despite the fact that it seems insane, I removed the plastic cover from the relay and used an emery cloth to polish the contacts on the contacts.

Because of my error, my automobile sank to the bottom of the lake, and after some wacky movements of the two rear windows by themselves, what I had was as follows: I had everything (lights, signals, etc.) but the two back windows were not going up and down. However, because the rear right window was down and driving in the rain was not a pleasant experience, I decided to take the car to a repair facility. I explained to them that all I wanted was for the window to rise (I was referring to the rear right side), and they agreed, saying that we would power the motor and, if all went well, it would raise the window.
- However, when I returned home, I saw that the parking lights and running lights on the back of the car were not turned on, with the exception of one place in the rear left corner.
- The irony of this is that the rear left window has begun to function properly (car has begun to dry, good weather), so I no longer have rear lights, regardless of the time of day or night, with the exception of one spot on the left, and I now have front running lights.
