To diagnose a code P015A, I would need many instruments, the most important of which are a diagnostic scanner, a digital volt/ohmmeter (DVOM), and access to a trustworthy vehicle information source (All Data DIY). Before attempting to diagnose and repair a code P015A, it is necessary to diagnose and fix all other engine misfire codes, throttle position sensor codes, manifold air pressure codes, and mass air flow sensor codes. When an engine is not operating efficiently, it will cause a plethora of codes to be saved (and rightly so).

Harnesses that are routed near hot exhaust pipes and manifolds, as well as those that are routed near sharp edges, such as those found on exhaust shields, are the subject of our investigation.
If you locate one that corresponds to the symptoms and/or code(s) displayed by the car in question, it will almost certainly assist you in your diagnostic process.
I next prefer to connect the scanner to the car diagnostic connection and collect all of the problem codes and freeze frame data that have been saved in the vehicle.
Clear the codes and check to see if the P015A has been reset.
Observe the O2 sensor input data by using the scanner data stream as a source.
If the engine is operating efficiently, the data from the upstream oxygen sensor should oscillate consistently between one millivolt (.100-volts) and nine millivolts (.090-volts) (.900-olts).
To examine real-time data from the oxygen sensor, you may connect the DVOM test leads to both the sensor ground and signal wires on the sensor.
In order to avoid control module damage, disconnect any associated controllers prior to performing a DVOM circuit resistance test on the system.

The downstream O2 sensors should not cycle as frequently as the upstream O2 sensors once the PCM has been configured for closed loop operation. The use of low-grade replacement (or remanufactured) catalytic converters should be avoided since they are prone to breakdown on several occasions.
