Navigator Wheel Lug Nut Torque Issue

I changed the tires on my 2014 Navigator 4X4 when it reached 10,000 miles, which happened a few days ago. I changed the tires for the first time six months ago and had no problems with the factory-installed lug nuts. Because the vehicle was not in operation on that particular day, heat was not an issue. I will not work on a hot car unless I am replacing the fluids in that vehicle. When it comes to lug nuts, I ALWAYS use a torque wrench. A total of 150 foot pounds were required for this. For storage purposes, that “made in USA” wrench is always reset to 0 zero.
- I had to utilize a portion of the handle on my floor jack to apply more pressure.
- I also have a high-capacity air compressor and a tire flat repair kit with me because I don’t like changing tires on the side of the road.
- So, I’m guessing that my torque wrench may be out of specification.
- My old wrench was not the source of the problem; I was just out of thoughts as to what had occurred.
- I’ve never had this problem with the lug nuts on my E-350.
- There should be no lubricant applied to the lug nuts at any time.
- Until I can figure out what happened, the lugs are set at 130 ft lbs, which may still be too high.

Getting the lug nuts to come loose is still a challenge.
For the sake of completeness, I have a high-pressure air compressor and a flat repair kit.
With my 2 foot breaker bar, I was able to remove a couple of lug nuts.
However, while there were no evidence of corrosion, the threads appeared to have been factory coated with something similar to lock tight.
My TCMGM’s lug nuts would rust lock when we were living on the East Coast due to the salt on the roads.
As a result, I put a little quantity of anti-seize chemical on the surface.
Earlier today, I adjusted the torque wrench to 130 foot-pounds once more and added a very little quantity of anti-seize compound to the lug threads of the Navigator.
I believe that the lug nuts are causing the wheel opening to become stuck.
On another site, the chief mechanic stated that he used 100 foot pounds of force.
Is there anyone else having this problem?
